Really? No way in hell it was getting the Jag stem though, you can see the marks from where I tried. Should I have tried harder? Rubber mallet harder?
Edit: it looks like you are right, the old standard for MTB bars was 25.4. Clearly technically I should be able to get the bar into the Jag. Will have to try again tonight.

Still not getting on with the Nitto risers, don't like the sweep back and steepish angle of the grips, ergo fail for Nitto for once. They make it feel like too much is going through my wrists. So anyway I have this:
