  • There's a little accessory bar you can get from Klickfix which is great for lights.

It sits above the mount, as so

  • PMd you about a little idea I have about the rando bag. Hope you're still making them!

  • Slightly desperate request to any kind soul who has a bigxtop small rando bag (the ones with the klikfix mount) - I lent mine to a mate and just realised it's been returned without the metal bit to connect to the mount. Touring France a week Today and away in Yorkshire from tmw morning. Any chance anyone has one to lend/sell? Gratitude would be eternal and payment forthcoming. Collecting may be logistically tricky but I have favours I can call in. This is stressful!!

    Cheers

  • which metal bit? the coated wire? or the metal frame that's sewn into the bag itself?

  • The metal frame that slips into the two sewn 'tubes' either side, and makes the connection with the bracket on your handlebars...?

  • Oh blimey. I didn't think that was particularly easy to remove! I have one that is currently on loan but borrower unlikely to be using in near future. I will make enquiries.

  • Hmm, we may not have the same model, because mine definitely comes out without too much struggle? One of the small rando bags? If you do, and if it was available, you can pretty much name your price in money/beer/books(work for a publisher)/baked goods/hugs.

  • I'd be happy to lend it you for biscuits, but I'm not getting any response from said borrower so not much else I can do... sorry.

  • My model sounds the same, although there's only one type on the site ATM.
Anyway, I'm not using it at the moment, so if you can stomach bright orange let me know.

  • Really kind anyway mate, appreciate the offer. Next time I have biscuits I'll hook you up.

  • you have pm!

  • Also incredibly kind! I have the bag, just the metal/bar I need, if you were happy to lend i can extend all the same offerings as to @hoefla above??

  • Spirit of the forum is strong tonight! Thank you so much @hoefla, @useless and @pastry_bot for generosity and general day-saving.

  • What can people usually fit in their Rando bags, big or small? I'm interested in something for commuting but just curious on capacity

  • I use mine for exactly that purpose. Compared to theklickfix bag I guess it's a large - was made to fit on a Nitto M18 rack. Start and end of the week it'll usually contain:

    1. trainers/shoes
    2. clothes (trousers, shirt, blazer/jacket)
    3. waterproof jacket (sometimes)
    4. ~1litre tupperware box
    5. Krypto messeger mini
    6. tools & tubes (front & rear pockets)
    7. packable backpack (front pocket)
    8. wallet, keys etc (top pocket)

That's probably right on the limit but you can get shitloads in if you pack all the little bits in external pockets and leave the main compartment for bigger stuff. Drybags help too.

    I like lists.

  • @tyeness awesome thanks, I like lists too, that seems like a decent amount of capacity!

  • @tyeness - Is that a pelago rack?

    1.

  • @jtrent90 but srsly bigxtop site could do with a colour swatch of the available fabrics. Desperately!

  • ^this. Had to trawl through the insta account before ordering, to get an idea of what was available.

  • In case anyone had any doubts about the volume of the rando bags...

2 litres of milk, 10 yoghurt, 2 bunches of bananas, 4 diet cokes, chia seeds (why?), 10 baby food packets (going on a trip), 2 lots of baby biscuits, 52 nappies, a dog and smarties, cos they have the answer.

  • That was a Minoura Gamoh. Now switched for a Nitto M18.

    1. Everyone

    No?

  • @Gndlf damn that's more than I thought. Glad you included the inside picture too, gives a better idea.

    +1 for the dog

The brake adapter on my rack snapped so ordered a VO one as a replacement, hopefully that holds up to some weight and then I can order a bag
