  • I'm after a big frame, anything considered but guard compatible would be good. Cash waiting but must be able to post.

    Thanks

  • Got a big old 531 frame, i used p clips for mudguards, paint is not great but the ride is!

  • Any chance of some more information?

  • I can send some pics but can't seem to log on here with my old details. So looks like e-mail may be the only way i can get the pics over to you.

No idea what the frame make is, 531 and a sweet ride, weird rust spots have been treated, I rode it fixed for a year as my commuter, has clamp on downtube lugs and cable guide by the bb. Originally for 27in wheels so needs long drop brakes and nutted not recessed type.

If you are using it single/fixed looks really clean as the lugs come off.

It has to go as i will be moving to the edge of Dartmoor soon for a job so thinning out my bike stable.

    Harv.

  • I've got an 8os Raleigh Classic 15 - 25inch. Burgundy and grey, think it's 531 ST loads of eyelets and bosses. I'll dig it out and take some pics.

  • Yep go for it

  • budget?

  • Depends on what's available. .....What you got?

  • Hi Phyllis,

I've got a 60cms Aluminium Surosa frame with Alpina Carbon forks. The
overall condition is very good no dings, dongs, dents just one or two paint chips. I never used the bike really that much preffering my retro steel frames.
It tales guards with clearnces for 23mm tyres.
It has rack mounts too. It comes with a headset bar/stem and
seatpin with a brand new selle qbix saddle.
Pm me and I'll try and get a photo to you.
    Postage shouldn't be a problem.

  • A Canyon Ultimate CF from 2011.

  • Pass on that thanks

  • Pass on that cheers.

  • I've got a specialized hardrock, the old cro-mo frame variant, 59cm c-t, effective top tube is 62cm c-c so plenty big , designed for 26" wheels so not sure if that's a consideration for you but would obviously be okay for use of 650b wheels/tyres. A 32/650b is 2036mm, current 26x2.0 are 2095mm circumference and still plenty of room for guards.
Double eyelets at the rear with rack mounts on the seat stays, front mudguard mounts also. it's a full bike ATM as it was for a friends son but he isn't keen even though as a lanky streak of piss this would be ideal for him for school and arsing about...ungrateful sod.
Frame is in great nick, no rust, good paintwork (blue) I'd be prepared to sell the f&f for £103 incl UK mainland via Parcelforce or 90 sovs from Letchworth Garden City
