Rent a Singlespeed

Hi there,
I'm just staying in London for 2 months but are a single speed/fixie addicted girl from Berlin.
For exploring London and just met a few other single speeders it would be great if one of you would rent me his or her second (not needed) bike. Or otherwise someone know a place where I can find super cheap single speed bikes.

i have a basic cable lock would be ok if you were just popping into a shop but not really ideal for london locking for any length of time

A £40 -£60 lock might be seen as reasonable payment for a two month loan...

yeah know this problem. May anyone else having a good lock for this term. Would spend a lot of beer :D

Leave the lock+bike+stuff with the person so if they do a runner you have nothing?

I think clockwise is pointing out that there is an element of risk; i.e. how do you ensure your items are returned after the "rental"?

Isn't Backstop saying that if Dicki gives her the bike to loan, then the least she could do, in return, is buy a lock for it? I'm confused.

I think so too. I mean it's important that it's not damaged or stolen. But may I m lucky and some of you have a good lock for me. Asking doesn't cost anything :)

Hey Dicki very nice second bike but you got to ask yourself this A person who when offered, your generous offer needs other people to point out buying a decent lock in exchange, she still doesn't get it,
