I'll most likely have nothing left except for the cogs, chain and 27.2 thomson seatpost since the insurance company will take care of the rest.
Which fbm is that? A sword with disc brake mounts?
Where can i find one in europe? Been looking but haven't found anything.A pompino feels a bit boring, but i assume that it'd work just fine haha

Anyone know if you can still get the fbm ballista anywhere? Just the fork actually. It's the first straight steerer disc brake non-cx geo one I've seen

They seem like a hell of a lot of bike for the money.

Just put one together at work yesterday and took it for a quick test ride - bloody impressed! Definitely a lot of bike for the money, and better finished than some of the more expensive Marins out there.

Nice.
Can it be run either SS or geared? I see there are geared/SS versions available, not sure if they're the same frame though.

Different frames.
SS version have sliding dropouts.
I have an SS on order atm to replace my pompetamine. -

Yeah and it's got a 'dimpled' chainstay so you run any chainset you like you lucky thinking.

:-) Someone here contacted Cinelli and he was sent a V2?

The Marin Nicasio SS looks a really nice bike for the money. if you can get sliding DO's with a RD hanger then it's quite a versatile bike.

Maybe check Factory 5 ? The F5 Pista frame looks lovely...
I recently bought their track hubs, and I can safely say - they make some quality stuff. -

isn't that just rebranded colossi?
So I managed to fuck my cannondale up and I'll be getting a bunch of insurance money.
looking at building a new bike with the budget around 2000gbp and going for a more durable bike this time around. less carbon and more steel, Both fork and frame.
The Cinelli work looks nice. But it feels super expensive with 800gbp for a frame with basic reynolds tubing and from what i've understood made in china. Then i'd rather chase down a tonic supernaut or something used instead
Steel with possibility to run at least 28mm tires
straight blade forks preferably
needs to be avaible in around 56cm (55-57cm effective toptube)
Sub £800
