How much did he beat Quintana by at Pierre St Martin last year?
I don't think he'll do it, but the final climb tomorrow suits a high power diesel like him more than it suits Quintana. Should be interesting to watch, especially as there will be other battles for top ten GC places going on.

Apart from the Froome Cobo* 2012 finish have Sky ever been chasing the win on the final stage like this? Another tactical surprise?

Team up with Tinkoff? :-P
-

I'd have thought that if the opportunity arises, Froome and Sky would take great pleasure in shafting Contador.
An alliance with Orica is more likely.

How he finished with a seperated shoulder god only knows .

That was horrible, but great footage. How the team car drivers (surely not the DS driving?) Can drive, be on the radio and safely negotiate the course, riders and motos I don't know, but now I've got a whole new thing to make watching cycle racing more uncomfortable.

I welled up a little watching him cry at the end there. To ride nearly 3 weeks over one of the most brutal races and for it to end on the penultimate day like that is just awful.

Chavez going with 40Km to go, game on.
Amazing Veulta this year -

Howson's descending was next level.
Great to see Contador forced to the front to chase.
There have been some great stages at this race.

Shame most of it has been forgettable.

Atapuma looks like he's on amphetamines, old school!

Haha, that was a great finish!

A Mugging gets the title then. Well done chaves for the real winner.

Great finish to a GT I've really enjoyed.
Orica Bike Exchange have been a fantastic team to watch in this race, some great attacks from Yates and Chaves, great tactics and teamwork.

I watched most of the stage live today on Eurosport, then watched a bit of the highlights on ITV4. The commentary is like night and day, Kirby and Kelly are an embarrassment.
-
• #323
On the other hand I find the ITV coverage boring and Millar insufferable so it's horses for courses.

Cripes! Really?

I know, it's always shocking when someone's tastes are not the same as your own. I remember when I found out there were people who thought The West Wing was quality drama.
Maybe, but today it looked like he dropped his chain as he was sprinting for the line.
