People who think there isn't any gravel in the UK don't know what they're missing ¯(ツ)/¯ there is fucking loads and it's great.
This is what I'm noticing too.
Looking at the maps of the Pyrenees, there are some great road, but if you look in Google Earth, you can able to see several dirt road going higher up the mountains.
The ratios look like for every decent road, there's 7 gravel road within the vicinity.
I'm now tempted to sell my carbon disc bike I have converted to 650b 38mm for this Specialized Sequoia, the gearing is perfect, 48/32t chainset with a 11-36t cassette;
Best part is that with the 650b wheelset, you can fit 2.0 tyres on it.

I've seen some really nice GF Ti with 650b wheels and bigger tyres; might be a fun idea? Otherwise, bigger the better.
