Any reason I wouldn't go for a mtb rim, e.g. stans crest as discussed up-thread? Too wide for CX tyres?
Also, am I right in thinking stans rims will work okay with an inner tube too (but that it may be a headache installing the tyre due to the reduced depth of the profile inside the rim)?

What's the rim of choice for disc cyclocross and general offroad adventuring? They may end up doing double duty on a 29er one day, so probably higher spoke count and wider is better. I'm planning to have them built by someone local but would consider OTP wheelsets if there's a good option. Tubeless preferred.
