Just got some BB7s off ebay.
Fantastic condition but seller forgot to send the mounting bolts (see attached).
I know the curved washers are just V-brakes washers, but does anyone know what length the bolts are? Are they the same as V-brake mount bolts?
Hoping to cobble something together so I can get them fitted ASAP. Or I guess if I don't have long enough bolts I could just fit them with the lower washers only. Can't see why that wouldn't work, provided I don't need them angled.

Anyone with the Shimano R685s finding the rubber hoods are really baggy? I've fitted and bled my front brake once, and my rear brake twice and am finding that the left (rear) rubber hood will no longer stay in place and shifts about as I ride. I've spent longer than I'd like to admit carefully pulling and tugging it into place, only for it to shift around as soon as I get out of the saddle or ride up a hill. Really frustrating. Is this a known thing, or am I just unlucky/stupid?

Maybe you got fluid on it making it less than sticky?

I'd take the rotors, if you'd split, and one is 160 and the other is 140

I didn't spot any, but I'll have another look. I think it's just gone a bit baggy. Having googled it, there's quite a few people with the same issue who reckon Shimano have slightly redesigned the hood since. I'll bugger about with it tonight and see if I can get it sorted.

Mine aren't loose (yet) but definitely feel like they are stretched thin over the master cylinder which I would guess could lead to them stretching over time. They certainly seem less well designed than the 6800 shifters they replaced

Round-edged rotors anyone?

once they are stretched they are fucked. i spent a couple of months continually rearranging them, but it became really bad when they would start slipping around as i was riding.
the new ones are significantly smaller, and with extra nodules to help secure them in place. have fitted them and no problems since

I've just recently got a bike with disc brakes and it's the first time I've used them. The stock rotors are really shard, there's a proper edge on them, even on the cutouts. I pretty swiftly managed to cut myself on it while adjusting them. I wouldn't want to be in a bike pile on top of warm/spinning rotors. So I think the rounded edges are a very good idea.

Nah, it's not just you, those particular hood stretched way too easily, have to order a new hood because I stretch them already when bleeding the customer's brakes.

RS805 front brake takes M5 bolts to mount on fork. The bolts it came with arent long enough for the engagement, where can I get a replacement?

Stop the bolts working loose. (i.e. no point if you've torqued them properly and there's still some loctite on the threads)
