A bike fitter is going to have a hard time fitting you to an aeroad as it has the integrated bar/stem combo and its not easy to just swap over a new stem and bars for the purpose of the fit as the steerer tube is oversized (1.5" I think?) so more than likely won't have stems that would fit sitting around.
You would better off getting your fit done before ordering this kind of bike IMO. Ask @HoKe !

Thanks for the heads up and I have been struggling with this to be honest. My current S5 doesn't allow me to achieve a low enough front end for what I want so doing the sizing on it and replicating on a new bike doesn't make sense. Obviously the integrated cockpit looks great but it is quite impractical from a fitting perspective and by the looks of it, many of the Movistar and Katusha riders actually use a tradional bar/stem setup.
The stem is 1 1/4" inch which is really only made by Canyon, Giant and Ritchey. I jumped on this frame due to the pricing (under £3k for di2 and Cosmic Pro Carbons plus just loving the look of the bike) but have it in my mind to take them up on the 30 day guarantee if I can't make the sizing work.
Any thoughts? Was also planning to speak to the fitter beforehand to try to find ways to make a session pratical. Maybe see if I can get something like an initial 30 min session just to see if frame size works and estimate a stem length to allow me to decide on the best setup/if it works at all and then get in for a full fitting once I am more preapred kit wise.
Checked the site a couple of times yesterday and the 2016 Aeroad SLX 7.0 di2 popped up as being available in S late in the day so I jumped on it. Im literally on the edge of their sizing but prefer a lower front end anyway so happy to go smaller. With the integrated cockpit the obvious concern is the inability to change the stem length but they claim that they can exchange the cockpit for a longer one once I have received the bike and given it a test. Ill probably book a proper fitting for shortly after I receive the bike to get some help on it.
Looking forward to the delivery date!
