Forgot to mention this on here, I was in Belgium over the bank holiday weekend.
Nice flatlands, too nice, too flat. I was bored of it after day 1 (which was also the least flat of the three scheduled.)
Took the train to Lille, then rode to Oudenaarde and Geraardsbergen from there.
Day two was from Geraardsbergen to Bruges via Ghent. The bit from Ghent to Bruges along the main cycle way on the canal is probably one of the most boring bits (50km) I have ever cycled.
Day three we were supposed to cycle back to Lille, but gf knee wasn't on the same page, so we ended up taking the train back.
Overall not too impressed with Belgium aside from magnificent cycling infrastructure, beer and chocolate.
