Pop some 650B carbon rims in the package too and you've got a lot of bang for your yen.

Timely post. I'm seriously considering this, and I've been wondering whether the tyre clearances are with or without mudguards. Evidently the former, which means I'd likely go for 700c wheels.

I think they claim 47c 650b and 38c 700c both with mudguards .. @MechaMorgan I am kinda conflicted about the wheel size tbh .. I will primarily ride this on road and will be my winter bike so need mudguards .. was originally thinking 700c and 35mm Kojaks with latex inner, its the lightest set up with hunt aero disc wheels.

700 with 35s will handle pretty much anything imo. I spent most of Saturday ripping across pathless fields on my Supersix on 25s and whilst it wasn't ideal, there wasn't anything I couldnt manage. Having said that I am a total shredlord so YMMV

Dang! Where did you buy the horizons from? You're ticking all the right boxes with that
-
• #258
No horizons I am afraid .. they have some samples at their factory which they used to test the mudguard set up.

quick hijack & crosspost from my own cp thread. Do you guys see any glaring issues with the geo of my 650b gravel/cx im building for my gf?
posting here as this is the place where all the cool cx/gravel kids hang
trail with 41mm knards is 68mm

I did the camel trail and some other trails in the area at the beginning of the month.
I used 38mm paselas and they were perfect. With those on I was happy to take my caadx off some of the smaller jumps at Poldice Mines -

quite liking these 40mm nanos tubeless. Although I'd like to try those new 45mm riddlers.

-
• #267
Don't, those ones are too good with that bike
-
• #268
That bike looks great.

Not sure the Stigmata will take up to 650b/2.1
Are there any OTP frames/bikes (other than the Open UP) that take a 650b/2.1 wheel?
-
• #270
A fair few surlys, salsas and somas do Im sure
-
• #271
niner rlt takes quite large tyres aswell
-
• #273
hmm actually the fork is the tightest fit, which is quite disappointing. That clearance looks smaller than an enve or whisky for example.

Mason Bokeh & Bowman Foots Cray.
