Any of the low end of the Forerunner series would do. Doesn't do cadence obviously, but will do HR if you get one with a strap (or have a compatible HR strap already). Not too big or chunky a watch either.
I used my old Forerunner 110 for tracking my commutes and distance run during 5-a-side football. Can be found for cheap on eBay (I recently sold mine to a friend for £20 - without HR strap).

Anyone able to recommend a simple GPS tracking watch? I don't always want to ride with a garmin but do like to record the majority of my mileage. Reasonable looking would be an advantage too.
