Have you ridden one of those? Thinking about getting on to get more serious about long distance cycling/audax. Does it feel responsive?

Did you make her carry everything!

Why the 2nd tail light, about 3/4 of the top one is gonna be obscured by the tyre already.
-
• #12908
It work surprisingly well despite that from my experiences.
-
• #12909
Even though the tyres are big, you won't have to move much to the side to see it.
Unless the driver is going straight in your path, they will see it. -

Looks great. I've got a straggler frame in the post at the moment - much excite. Couldn't get a green in my size though :-(
-
• #12911
Nice, what are your plans with it?
-
• #12912
It'll have humble beginnings: I've got a Fuji tread with sora and I'm swapping the frames out basically. Went for the straggler as I'd have plenty of options beyond that, in the future.

Nice! Apart from uneven mudguard curvatures, very disturbing to my ocd brain.
-
• #12915
if you're ocd i wouldn't even get up close in the flesh..! but thanks!
-
• #12916
That would look really ace with hammered mudguard, especially since you got the clearance for it!
-
• #12917
yeah, the black guards are a hangover from when it was grey/graphite coloured...
-
• #12918
Really nice!
I'm surprised you were not able to migrate from 27x1/4 to 700c keeping the original canti bosses, always assumed you'd have enough play in pad adjustment... -
• #12919
It was originally centre pulls, cantis were an upgrade..!
-
• #12920
Ah, I see, wrongly assumed Galaxys always had cantis...
I agree 100% with Ed, silver hammered mudguards would look great on this... -

£130 for these atm on ebay, pop a set of surly forks on and you've got an good solid functional frameset for under 200
Awesome build. I swear the new allez looks a lot like that.
