My fanless plex server is, on the whole, working well. The only issue is it gets a bit warm when the processor is maxed out, normally when stuff is being transcoded to be synced to mobile.
I want to set it so that a fan comes on at a certain temperature. I've tried doing this in the BIOS settings and using fancontrol in Ubuntu and neither make a difference.
From reading a little I suspect I may need a PWM fan but not entirely clear. Does this sound correct? If so, any recommendations for 120mm or 140mm fan?
