I was thinking to use one of those freewheel-screw-to-fixed adapters for the Soviet 4Spoke, also set as 7 speed at the mo. Let me know how you get on

I have a HED converted to track with an adaptor
The adaptor is secured with an epoxy adhesive and it works fine for track use
I've never unwound mine through slowing down but I would never brake with it on the streetA track adaptor on a freewheel threaded hub to get the correct chainline is totally fine for track use and it's the method Mavic used for it's old Comete disc wheels (adaptor + a track axle)

I have bought an old HED like that recently, it is an old screw on freewheel type. I was hoping to run it 8 speed but only a 7 speed block will fit in the frame.
I am thinking about converting it for track instead now, has anyone done that?
Failing that I may flog it!
