Sorry if im missing soemthing, but what is the actual point of the bike? For the fats who cant climb?
That's always my first reaction to e-bikes. But if you have some sort of health problem/are of advanced age, and just can't muster the energy, surely it's nice to be able to keep MTBing?
(I currently won't be found dead on one, no)
Currently I am in the Pyrenees, and the majority of MTB I saw are electric bike.
They're a massive deal here now.
It's for getting places you'd need an uplift for, but there's no uplift. Just an hour of climbing. If you are a race XC whippet.
It would allow normal people, who enjoy Bike Park Wales, to enjoy Afan, for example.
