• So, sadly, after collecting plenty of little niceties for it, this bike is on sale:

Registering interest for now as I am currently in Italy. Will post a complete list of things included in the sale and price when back with updated pictures, but it mostly sat in the basement of my office after I took that last picture from that thread.
Can be sold with expensive Schwalbe One tubulars (which are currently on it) or cheaper Giro (which will have to be glued on)

  • I still have to check how much I roughly spent on it and the several options this can be sold as, but as a ballpark figure I'd say around £550 with the Giro tubs, £600 with the Schwalbe (which are as new as I only rode a few times with them).

Panto components are the stem, the cranks and the rare Francesco Moser headset as well as even more rare Moser pantographed quick release (three of them, so you get a spare one too)

Group is what you'd find on an off-the-peg f.moser of the time, i.e. Campagnolo Gran Sport coupled with GPM Sprint brakes (with brake hoods I got nos too), crankset and hubs. Seat post is an aero GPM one I got NOS (still have the box too). Monthlery Pro tubular RIMS which I got from eBay.
    Tape is white Benotto.

Saddle is a F.Moser / Vetta white one in excellent conditions and a F.Moser suede one I have as a spare.

It comes with a correct NOS-conditions Cobra bottle cage and a pink F.Moser bottle (as pictured), a Reg Torino pump holder (complete with box) and a matching white Silica Impero NOS pump.

Pedals won't be the one pictured, but the correct GPM Sprint ones with the NOS F.Moser / Patrick Sergu leather toe straps.

The re-paint was done by @bellabici before I got it, and it has been done really in a professional way. Paint is at correct thinness and F.Moser painted letterings and correct decals on it. Very very lovely paint with no scratches or paint chips.

Oh and seat binder bolt is a NOS Gipiemme one.

Overall a very fine F.Moser in Columbus Tre Tubi (main triangle is Aelle) and Columbus forks.
    Chrome is perfect too.
I think I might have ended up spending more than the asking price.

PS: picture above is showing a different front tyre, can't remember why. Both wheels have been 'filled' with a puncture protection liquid (it helps heal small punctures as soon as they happen)

In the sale I can add a pair of lovely Simplex SLJ downtube shifters at an additional little cost.
Can't remember what brake cables did I use on this.

  • Fantastic bike and build but too big for me :(

  • Moar photos plz! This bike deserves a photoshoot with matching tires before you sell it :)

  • Thanks! Shame it is :(

Reckon the price is fair in your opinion?

  • Will do will do once I'm back. Will put up the other saddle and pedals as well.

  • I think it's a good and fair price.

  • Can vouch bike is lovely and moar sparklez than photos show

  • Selling somewhere else.
