I recently got my hands on a steamroller, and while I'm enjoying it, I can't help but feel like my cross-check (currently relegated to parents garage) will do the fixed gear winter bike job better - bigger tyres and better brakes.
Agreed that a cross-check fork would be a good improvement for mounts and braking, but what effect would the longer a-c have?
I'd looked at different fork options with a 32c tyres (26 trucker/straggler are disc only, 26 trucker probably too short for guards) and done some maffs...
