The parts list you've put up is basically the same as the stock on the Esaki. So I would say just buy the complete or build something very different.

Have you shopped around as a lot of BLB stuff has a hipster tax added to it

Questionable quality aside, I find Aventon frames so unappealing. Eastway Esaki T1 seems like a great package for the price. Hit up the Eastway thread for some experiences. I'd go with that personally.

How many threads do you need to start?
Just buy a bike already.

Sorry mate, i assumed an online forum for fixed gear enthusiasts was a good place to ask my beginner questions.

I've got an Esaki and it's great. Save yourself the £300 and upgrade when you want

Shimano road caliper work with crosstop? Pull ratios?
As above, don't bother buying it all separately, it ends up more for the same build. If you're going to buy the frame new, buy the rest second hand.
I, for example, have a couple of crosstop levers the same as those but unbranded that I'd sell for a quid or something.
If you already have the aventon, stick with it imo. You can easily get a build together for 200 quid on here with parts of a much higher quality than you could afford to buy at full retail within budget. -

And avoid BLB. They're rude in the shop, overpriced, rebranded cheap parts with a huge markup on them. Cinelli Ant is a bit tumblr, you can find better if you just look at road stems.
Omniums can be had on here for around a hundred.
Unless you're riding the track, don't buy pista bars, you'll never be in the drops and riding on the tops isn't cool any more, get compact road drops, they look much better too.
You'll need a single speed chain not 10 unless you're running a 3/32 drivetrain which you probably won't be.
Decent carbon forks can be had for less, again on here, which will be lighter.
I'd probably go with bmx pedals and straps rather than "track" pedals and clips but thats just me, and I actually only ride clipless, which you could consider since you will inevitably switch eventually to them.
Hey guys, so I had a custom build lined up (I've recently bought an Aventon Cordoba frame and a set of H+ Archetypes (all black) however i've been repeatedly told that the Eastway Esaki is a better way to go, it's currently sitting in the sale on Wiggle for £488 (or £400 for an ex display) so my question is would you continue to spend around £700 on a custom build (part list below) or just sack it off and go for the Eastway and save myself £300 odd? It's going to be used for a 5 odd mile commute daily and replacing a old spesh langster. Thanks in advance for your opinions / suggestions :)
