• This has been sitting around for a couple of years, so I might as well sell it on. It’s a 1992 Rocky Mountain Blizzard frame made of Tange Prestige Concept tubing. These are decent frames and I use a 1995 model as my winter bike. The built photograph is from the previous owner.

There is a dent in the top tube, which can hopefully be seen in the photograph, directly below the quick release, but it’s not a structural problem and these are tough frames. Takes a 27.0 seatpost, and is 135mm rear. Has a monostay with a noodle for the rear brake cable, so it’s better to use a cantilever, unless you go 1x, then you can use the front derailleur guide for the V-brake cable.

The forks are threadless Kona Project 2 triple-butted with 190mm steerer. I’ll include a FSA headset and a seatpost quick release.

I’ve got a few bits to help with the build I could sell cheap, if needed.

Frame is 20" 51cm centre to top of the seat tube, and 16.5" 41.5 centre to centre. The extended seat tube means that though the top tube is sloping you don't get flex with a long, slim post.
Top tube is about 57cm actual and 58cm virtual.
    Head tube is 5.5"
Forks are 410mm axle to crown.

1992 Rocky Mountain catalogue. Expensive when new. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/d/45424-2/rmsmall1992.pdf

    SOLD

Can be picked up from Leyton, east London, next to the Underground station/ASDA car park, but I can probably deliver to Hackney, Bow, Walthamstow etc.

  • I'd be interested in wheels if you have any going cheap?

  • Sorry, got everything bar wheels.

  • Looks like a 17/medium. Dibs if so

  • Crap. I forgot to put up the size. I'll do it properly after lunch, but it's a medium.

  • Dibs

  • The measurements have been added to original post. I'd say the best fit would be someone 5'9" to 6'1"

  • second dibs!

  • For reference re. size. I'm 6' with a 32" inseam, the black RM is my Blizzard which has a slightly lower top tube and seat tube than the 92, and the Hammer is my 20", 19" centre to centre, with a near horizontal 58cm top tube.

  • Placing myself in the dibs-line, provided you'd be okay with shipping this?

  • I can ship, but I don't have a box. You'd have to send a box to me, with padding, and I will post it back.
