Nope, I enjoyed the extra padding. Even with bib-shorts. The saddle is still firm and supportive to sit on.

The webbing at the front looks pretty horrible

I've got one, it's okay. Good long rails and more comfortable for my arse than the carbon only ones. Only managed about a week of commuting on it before my kinesis died. Will report further when my new kinesis finally turns up.

Sounds like exactly what I'm after, cheers. No flashy logos like my old carbon too.

It looks like its got the proper rails/attachment of a legit one which is always a nice bonus. Might be able to hacksaw the webbing stuff out?

Hacksaw seems like overkill for leather?

The webbing thing is just a bit of plastic. Part of the bit at the nose that holds the rail in place. I'd leave it if I were you :)

Oh I see that now! I thought it was leather stretched between the two sides somehow.

Quick fake smp update - I've got the padded 'chaunts' one from aliexpress. It's easily the most comfortable saddle I've ever used. I'm pretty picky with saddles, (I have a box of various saddles I need to shift as I've tried them and not got on with them). This one is awesome, right amount of padding, once I got the angle right it just disappears under me.

Does anyone know what the equivalent real smp saddle is? I'd be more than happy to buy the genuine one if I knew what it was. Maybe stratos?

Does it have the ugly chaunts branding? Sometimes they replace the branding on the pics to avoid claims but ship with real decals.
