  • I'll be doing it on a road bike and know i won't get a good time, but want to give it a crack and see how hard i can push myself.

At least you'll get a PB. And when the bug bites and you end up fitting a pair of aerobars, you'll probably PB again.

I know nothing about the world of TTs. Any insight and tips for a n00b?

IRT CTT Open Events like you have entered - Even though you have entered, it's not a guarantee you'll get a ride unfortunately. It comes down to many factors, for example; course popularity, time in the season, how many entrants that are faster than you, etc. As you don't currently have a LTS time (a 25PB time over the last 3 seasons) the event organiser will select entrants that do have a LTS over yourself. You'll probably get a ride as it's late in the season though :)

  • My mate is the club tt Secretary so not too worried about that 😁 . But good point.

@Sam great course nerdism, thank you. Def get onto Google maps... Know your enemy etc
