Does anyone want a large cardboard box? It's a massive Evans one that I've chopped in half, easy to fit a frame and wheels in each half. It's going in the bin on Sunday, pick up from N16 if you want.

If I threw every season in the bath which one would you save first? Don't think just answer

Boxset bro, you'd have a boxset. You'd drown to save them all.

Mtb rear derailleur slow to change into a higher gear, only sometimes, on an xt 10sp cassette (new)
the lag is quite frustrating as it seems to be completely random and hard to replicate on the stationary bikenew chain time?

thinking of getting a digital subscription to the financial times. Is the premium digital edition worth it over the standard digital?

Travelling from Whitstable (Kent) back to Dartford by train. Are non-folding bikes 'allowed' on the trains? Never tried this before.

Presume you've tried the barrel adjusters and checked cable for rub?

Depends whether you think the Lex column is any good. I have premium access through a work subscription, and tbh I wouldn't pay the extra personally - but I'm also a competing journalist so I'm reading the FT in a different way to most.

Check with the operator. Generally yes, but there are sometimes limited slots and operators are increasingly fussy about bikes being transported without using a dedicated slot. If in doubt, reserve a slot - usually it's no additional cost if you have a seat reservation.
Edit to add - here's southeastern's bike policy. Off peak you seem to be okay.

Ooooh, it looks ok, thanks for the link h20.
I'll probably be travelling back off-peak, depends on my little legs and post ride munchies and thirst quenchisations.
Urrgh relented and bought the cannondale stem, the supermax steerer and some spacers.
All from germany because nobody can sell me them in the UK because CSG
