  • That advert say avoid like herpes just for the aweful ad. Had two cambelts changes has it? at the end of the day it is still a golf floor pan, and not a good one.

Yes I looked at 15 mondeos diesels before I bought mine and it was the best of a bad lot. Noted that I was after a diesel but the amount of traders trying to hide they trade and saying sold as seen. My C5 was the bargain and got fucking trashed by a wanker.

  • Really? Do they change so much and age better than others?

  • Cambelts are the big ones for these, required every 60000 miles and entails pulling the whole engine out, is my understanding. So worth mentioning in the ad. Anyway, that was the result of one minute of searching on ebay, I'm sure there are better elsewhere :)

  • 60,000 or 4 years!

At least the citroen HDI ones are quite straight forward and the biggest cost are the bits inc tensioner and water pump while my age of mondeo diesel is the timing chain. Part of me liked the idea of the v6 duratorq engine...

  • I was looking for diesels, as the trip to France was 1 euro a litre diesel! and trying to max out the mpg.

  • Car was moving(slowly), look close and you can see the driver.

  • Sorry, it is some thing that annoys me. I miss interpreted the situation.

  • Did you use their online quote function?

Seems way too good to be true, either that or I'm just used to the daylight robbery conducted by UK companies... Starting at just over 400 USD for a year of coverage on a BMW 3 series.

Considering I'm 19 and have had a license for under a year that's insane.

  • Olly's Porsche guy simply refuses to get back to me, in thrilling Porsche update.

  • Check what it covers.

  • It's a lot cheaper. Coverage is different though - check on the amount ($ value) - I'd say you'd be looking at around 1200 bucks for something sensible. Still wildly good value.

I pay about 800 per year for good coverage on a 330 and a camper van and have a Ca license now.

  • Ha, I also thought it was stationary. Zigzag parking gets me too. I see it every other day. Im suprised more drivers aren't aware of the possible points and fine.

  • Never even heard of this one... any guesses?

  • Gemballa? Or some such tinkerer.

  • Strosek?

  • 964 Turbo Flatnose!

  • watched strosek on tv just last week
    great film

    werner herzog at his best

  • This.

The Strosek kits had unfeasibly small front lights.

  • Rare run-out special apparently, looks a bit weird IMO.

There are a few 911s in my work car park, a new one just showed up, claret coloured 993 targa, terrible colour and I wouldn't have a targ but it still shows up the brand new C2 it parks next to, and so dinky

  • "In 1981, Porsche introduced the 'flachbau' option, commonly known as the Slantnose, for the 930 911 Turbo. It featured a flat nose reminiscent of the 935 Group 5 racecars, most famous of which is likely the whale tail adorned 'Moby Dick'. Fewer than 1000 cars were ordered with the option.

In August 1993, just before to the introduction of the 993 911, Porsche's VRS department decided to give the 964 one last hoorah. Also known as the Exclusive division, it introduced the hand-built Flachbau (German for 'flat construction' or 'flat form'), known officially as the 1994 Turbo 3.6 S Flatnose."

  • Espada spotted parked on my street tonight.

Still have my Matchbox model Marzal in a drawer somewhere.

  • ^ Amaze.

Let's face it, that 'Flachbau' is munting.
