    Have you done this before? If not, I'll give you the skinny on what to do... and probably more importantly what not to do :)

    Fork boot looks woeful, hope no water has got in.

    Otherwise you are lucky - that frame / fork has IS disc tabs. Frame looks in OK shape, too.

  • OK. Have you serviced a suspension fork before? Because a Cannondale Headshok is not the place to start...and without the special and pricey tools, you won't be able to do it. And even with the tools it will be agony.

    Even the headset bearings are a massive chore. Much hammer. So much whacking. Wow.

    But there is hope. Does the lockout work? Does the fork cycle smoothly? Is there an air valve under the fork crown?

    The squeaking might be air in the oil damper...or it might be corrosion..or if the fork is coil sprung with an elastominer it might be its dying gasps.

    First step is to nip - carefully! - the zip ties on the boot, pull it down to the fork crown and see what delights await...

    Procedure is the same - open the top, pull out the damper and spring, service 'em, service the 'scope, rebuild (if you can be bothered)
