Just put a set of Aivee hubs on Pacenti SL23 with CX Ray spokes on. Dropped 200g to 8.2kg. And hopefully is a tad stiffer to boot.
Keen to make it 7.99kg. Just because.
Weighed the saddle and post:
Saddle: 248g Seatpost: 309g Clamp: 20g
Should be some low-hanging fruit there. If the specs are accurate, this would give me 160g alone:

Anyone used one? Supposed to be decent quality, no?
I don't get it. Build bike with alu frame and ultegra - a nice, balanced build, then spend several pages weighing it and discussing weight savings e.g. shiny carbon. It's not particularly hard to build a sub 7KG bike.
I may have spent a little bit of time discussing it online, but I've also been out riding it in Wales, upstate New York and the French/Swiss Alps.
Sub 7kg Carbon is boring Sub 7kg alu is a challenge and frankly more interesting
