Judging from the pictures I see no preference at all for a flat transition (because there is no flat)

It's an awesome build! My only critique would be the placement of the ergopowers too far up the bars. Did you want them closer by? Should be a litter further down imo.

Shifters are definitely too far up, what I meant was that he did not install the bars with the top part sloping downwards as is normally the case with ergobars.

Yeah we're onto the same thing :)

The reach on timetrial frames set up as road bikes can be a little tricky. I'm running a shorter stem and compact bars on my Tiemeyer as well.
