Getting in the right category at a Gorrick event is harder than the race itself

What forks are they on the posh bike? Fox 32s?

I just serviced Mrs Sparky's charge Scourer and then razzed it around the car park. It's basically a hybrid that's a hardtail MTB with rigid fork. And tiny. Makes me want a mini MTB for playing on.

Will be called summat different though.
They'll comment on the low weight, chuckability, rigidity and and how it makes bikes more 'fun'.
Then hike up the price.

Them's the ones. Bit less posh now, it's still covered in three different kinds of faeces from the South Downs.

The ability to chuck things around. Chuckability. Perfectly acceptable.
Your name's not Chuck either. No excuses really.

Testing has consistently shown that 559 accelerates faster, is lighter and stiffer, maneuvers quicker, and pumps the terrain better than other wheel sizes. If only the industry would embrace this new wonder size. All that's needed is a little marketing/branding magic.

Genius!
I'm gonna start a new 26 specific bike brand...I'll call it....'chuckability'. Our main rider/tester/destroyer will be @BareNecessities -

Thanks, but I reckon 24" wheels are better suited to my riding.

Chuckability bikes include the Vomit Comet, the Technicolor Yawn, Gag Reflex

To be far the Wheels on my 26" are still going to look twice the size of BNs 29er Wheels.
Back when I was putting my 29er together I remember someone commenting that smaller wheels with more suspension travel would be better than bigger Wheels. That was back when 29ers had 80mm front travel and very little rear travel.
These days you can have both. Even XC 29er forks have 100mm travel. But at my height you really need to watch the stack. Which is why I went 26". I then bought a X-fusion slant. Which has a massive A-C because they use the same fork for both 650 and 26". Although to be fair. The low A-C options were all 32mm stantions I think. The Float 34 was only 7mm Shorter.

look for some older shimano mt shoes 2005 or earlier
you can often find them on ebay
had a pair last about 10 years with pretty hard usage couldn't fault them for comfort solidity nothing went wrong with them not even a split stitch and they regularly got a soaking

Saying that. I do fancy a burly hardtail to kill myself with again.
