Pretty sure the R3 would make a decent race bike. Arent they mad stiff?
I've got a R2 (same frame, different fork) and have been doing some TT'ing on it as well as Audaxing and it's been great for both.
If I was doing Crits/Road Races again I'd probably do them on my Alu BMC though - been knocked off enough times by people not holding their line/not looking before moving out.http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/product-news/canyon-speedmax-cf-280785
Looking at a TT bike for next year and this is more in my price range the SLX version. Don't think it's as a great a bargain as CW are making out though

Kinda temped to get a cheap Direct-from-China as my NeXT carbon roadie. My frameset is the one part of the bike I cant afford to replace.
