  • Neither the Kepler, CdF, nor the Sequoia is the kind of bike you can go fast on (althought it didn't stop some people being able to), the geometry is focus on stability than outright acceleration.

Bike like the carbon Diverge, GT Grade, Genesis Datum, Jamis Renegade to name a few, will fit your description more.

  • Cheers Ed.
I get that and to be honest i'm not sure any of them are the kind of bike I can/could go fast on. I guess fast is always relative though.

As per my first post I am looking for a bit of a compromise and require a few bits of luggage include a child at times and so why I posted in here. I am leaning towards the CdF but wanted to check in with the forums' expertise I'm not barking up the wrong mountain pass.

  • What about the Equilibrium? it's defintely the kind of bike you can go fast on, and still be able to cope with some luggage.

Croix de Fer is a great bike for ticking all the box, but if you ride predominantly on the road, the slower CX steering may bug you (abet felt fast off road).
