I knew Carol and Kieth, from day one i took to the road, nearly 30 years ago i mustered up the energy to not only make it to the mills but go for a ride and come back . I have happy memories of riding home through hoylake with her after our club barbecue and her like of finding rhubarb out on a ride. coming home with it stuffed in a pump bag like tent poles.
Always cheery even after being knocked off by a caravan last year in Harwarden. She has left a hole but i will always remember her.
Our last conversation was how strong the wind is down there and how a elderly neighbour moved house because it was getting hard to walk home.

Surprised there's been no suggestions of selling out to another components/engineering brand. Royce or BETD/Goldtec might be good matches, both work in the general drivetrain area but neither have their own crank design.

Hope could have worked a few years ago, but the Hope and Middleburn cranks have too much overlap in their target usage/market and the designs don't really work as complementary products within a range.
