Vintage racing bike made by W Hinds with 90's shimano parts and vintage cranks. This is a very striking bike and great fun to ride, though when you look up close you can see it isn't perfect.

Some details are available online about the frame builder, but Hinds was a small bike builder in the late 50s to 70s. The only period parts on the bike are the elegant Gnutti cranks, however these are a little scuffed, and would probably want re-chroming to be valuable.

This is a 1961 frame in red (1961 per the stamp on the BB), built up with more 90's components. The frame has horizontal dropouts, but the bike works perfectly as is, with a 2 x 7 drivechain.

58cm frame, suitable for riders between 6ft and 6ft4

Shimano rear derailleur, brakes and levers
Cinelli stem and bars
Relatively new bar tape
24 Seven saddle
Pedals with clips in good condition
Dura Ace cable clamps
Wheels are not perfectly true, but have not given me problems. The rear tyre is new: 25c. The front tyre is vintage, probably 19c. For everyday riding, I suggest replacing the front tyre, though it has held up well so far!

Frame looks a bit off track on the rear, if the wheel's nearly touching the chainstay but centred at the seatstay bridge (can't see from photo that clearly). Pretty straightforward to have a go at correcting, for a good mechanic. GLWS. Would be a lovely frame to get some older parts back on it.

I've had a look at the rear wheel / triangle. The frame is perfectly straight, the QR was not done up straight.. Now corrected and you can see the wheels sets perfectly in the frame.
