Yes, I am often drinking in Bermondsey so that works well

After a run of 7-9%ers tonights All Day IPA feels like water. Must lay off the biguns for a while.

Had several pints of Moor's Raw which is an unfiltered bitter. Absolutely excellent. Kind of a modern take on a bitter with new world hops.

Going to try brewing a coffee stout this BH weekend.

How are you putting the coffee in?
I've only cold brewed and put in at flame out.

The same. I've got a nice Japanese cold brew coffee maker, so I'll make up a batch and add it at the end.

Just making 5L this time after learning the constraints of my system from last time.
I have acquired an electric 30L Burco boiler however...

Can remember if you are the recent BIAB'er, but if so, your efficiency will drop when making higher OG worts (in case you are going imperial). Could be as low as 50% for styles like barley wines and imperial stouts.

What do they smell like?

The smell like pale ale ;)
Sticky with yellow bits in the middle. -

I've got tons already and the bine still looks full. Will dry some. Read on internet that you can freeze them wet vacuum packed. Will do that too. Can bring you a bag next week Kat. They'll jeep a week in the fridge it seems

Nice looking hops @skydancer. Post prompted me to check our free to roam vines, our hops aren't so good though, feel empty & lacking any hoppy aroma. Maybe a longer hotter summer would help them develop better here up north?
Pictured amongst the apples, and a few sample picked.

Brewday #2!

Yes I think the amazing hot summer South really helped mine grow huge and aromatic

And done.
A lot closer to the planned fermentation volume this time. Had 1.3L left over (instead of being under!) which is nice. Still, need to recalculate Brewhouse Efficiency better.
60g of cold brew coffee went in, I'll taste it before bottling and see if it needs more.
Next question is which of these should I crack open?

I can't even begin to picture this. :)
Cool. Live West work Bermondsey. Meet Bermondsey?
