  • Hey does anyone know of a silver 32h 650 clincher rim? Cheers all 🤓

  • Any shots of the fork crown?

  • Hey does anyone know of a silver 32h 650 clincher rim?

    Listed as current production:
Velocity A23 definitely, maybe Fusion although it's not listed in silver.
    Kinlin MX3T , XR300
    H+Son SL42 & Formation Face
Weinmann Excellium, maybe - they do 650C, 32H and silver, but not necessarily all together.

Available in the past, you may find them NOS:
Mavic CXP33 definitely, maybe Open Pro, I can't remember whether they did the 650C in silver.
    Velocity Deep-V, Aerohead

  • Really looks good

  • This saddle is made of wood !

the buulhorn is to strate and aerobars to low, but nice frame !!!

  • I don't mind the saddle in combination with cycling shorts. The 'bullhorns' are chopped and flipped drop bars :( and you're right about the aerobars. The photo is from its maiden voyage and I've since adjusted them. It's a lo (budget) pro ;)
p.s. saddle is only temporary until I upholster the SM Laser which is supposed to go on this one.
But thanks for the advice, I'll tilt the bars upwards!

  • thanks for the advice, I'll tilt the bars upwards!

Don't take Gaston's word for it, do what's comfortable for you. As shown, it looks like you might enjoy the wrist rest feature which is the best thing about LA84s.

  • Don't take Tester's word for it, do what's comfortable for you. It's not LA84's ; )

  • Damnit, you guys make it difficult for me. Two of the forum's biggest sources of knowledge and I'm in the middle :D I'll see what works for and keep your advice in mind!

btw: i sent a very optimistic offer for some itm dual cx bars, so this would be the easy and rad way out of the dilemma.

  • Kind of looks like the frame is meant for a 650c front? Still rad though

  • Damn, that's epic.

Nah, looks fine. BB drop would be huge with a small front wheel.

  • Nah, looks fine. BB drop would be huge with a small front wheel.

Also headtube would be near vertical.

If you google 'GT National Team Track' you'll see a lot of 700c ones. Also some with smaller front wheels, but they're specifically called 'pursuits' (as one might expect).

  • Ah fair enough, I don't think I've ever seen a lo pro with downtube clearence as tight as that before, very cool

The designer probably had 18mm track tubulars in mind, not tractor-grade clinchers.

  • tractor-grade clinchers

23mm is tractor-grade now? Damn. Well, maybe in comparison to 18mm yeah.

  • 23mm is tractor-grade now?

I was referring to the thickness of the tread band rather than the section width.
