He should ride a mix of races, including one day and stage races. Tao has already shown that he can race a bike on any terrain, and it's important for neo-pros to learn how the pros ride different types of races as part of their development.

Fair - he also did well in Paris Roubaix as a junior.

I doubt he will be in the team for any top tier classics though and Sky don't race stuff like Dwaars, Brabaantse Pijl.

I think the latest Telegraph Cycling Podcast confirmed that he had turned down a contract last year or I am just dreaming and had read it somewhere else previously.

Either the tyre is too damaged or they're on tubulars. If the tyre goes flat and doesn't seal, a gas canister isn't going to help.

I was going to say...I've never had any problem with ex-champs wearing arm bands and collars, but Sanchez and his gold always reeked of desperation and came off a little sad to me. Never quite put my finger on why. Other than Olympic road cycling not really being much of a thing.
