  • Are you able to use sm sh51 cleats with them? I've got a set of those pedals and my mtb shoes seem to clip in but I've not actually ridden on them to know if it'll be successful

  • I have SH51 on my MTB shoes, IIRC they clip in but there's something odd about the release, it's so long ago that I can't remember whether its too hard or too easy. When you look at the two cleats side by side, there are significant differences even disregarding the pontoons on the road cleats.

  • @Eingang
Dolan Pursuit Champion TT bike (excuse crappy pic).

  • Why disc? must be less aero?

    • Reliable winter braking (i.e., spinning, descending fixed, on tri bars - ongoing; still need splitter and 'third lever').
    • Thought it would be fun to try (grinding fork down to match head tube dia., paint, etc...)
    • More aero than previous (blocky KCNC) rim caliper setup, with much improved braking.
    • Nobody else has anything like it.
  • in days gone by I got bare hate for holding it up for ernie here

    Trusay.

But as the recognised nag-man, you're also (whether you like it or not) the focus for other's prejudices.

I haven't, and likely never will, own one but it's good to have marque enthusiasts like yourself around.

  • Built this today before I sell it

  • Nice build! ....how much?

  • that stuffs lethal

No more so than any other dust, according to Stephen from Fibre-Lyte...

  • All those yellows are a bit "mother of the bride".

    y u no matchy tyres?

  • Thanks! 700€ for frame, forks, headset and bb

  • y u no matchy tyres?

It did have yellow stripe Michelin Axial BiSport many years ago, usually it has wire wheels with GP4000 reflex but they're 25C and 46/17 goes over 72" with fat tyres.

  • So after my pannier got nicked, I decided to scrap the pannier rack for a while and just use my backpack for my commuting.

    Looks more balance now IMO.

  • Sorry to hear about your panniers. In my experience, riding with backpack is a pure hell, hot, unable to steer properly, meh! I was super happy with my pizza rack and now even more happy with pizza bag :)

  • Yeah, I know what you mean, especially when I ride my mission workshop bag it does feel restrictive but you sort o get use to it I guess, lucky I have my small rapha bag to compensate this issue for now, but I do miss riding with nothing on my back. Hopefully I'll get descent saddle bag to fix this 1st world problem.

  • Looks more balance now IMO.

Not what I see: the wheels (and mudguards) absolutely dominate.

Which isn't a criticism, as I'm coming around to the skinny tube/deep wheel aesthetic: "purposeful" and "muscular" spring to mind.

Makes me think of hot-rods and muscle-cars.

  • Found a new stem for my Titan, and switched out the brifters to downtube shifters.

    Better pictures to come...

  • Haha, fair play!

How I see (and hear) from the bike is that the steel frame is something that is going to be more reliable than my previous alu and carbon bikes, and the deep wheels brings back my old and childish days of deep wheels and the noise they make!

Also with the fat tyres now I can actually enjoy the comfort of a bike on the rough roads of London (especially at my age)

I think you're on to something here...

  • perfect fit lol

  • sweet bike nonetheless...

  • The colours on those all city frames is great. I've got a Space Horse like it and absolutely love it.
