So after my pannier got nicked, I decided to scrap the pannier rack for a while and just use my backpack for my commuting.
Looks more balance now IMO.

Sorry to hear about your panniers. In my experience, riding with backpack is a pure hell, hot, unable to steer properly, meh! I was super happy with my pizza rack and now even more happy with pizza bag :)
Not what I see: the wheels (and mudguards) absolutely dominate.
Which isn't a criticism, as I'm coming around to the skinny tube/deep wheel aesthetic: "purposeful" and "muscular" spring to mind.
Makes me think of hot-rods and muscle-cars.

The colours on those all city frames is great. I've got a Space Horse like it and absolutely love it.
