I need to revisit that. Similar thing - skulked around for a few hours and eventually saw it. Shat myself, almost not even figuratively. And hid in a locker since then distracting myself with happier aliens like Chewie in Star Wars Battlefront.
I'm still enjoying Deus Ex - just arrived at Golem.
I need to turn on subtitles in the conversations if there are such things. I can never be bothered with voice acting so constantly space bar my way through convos until I get to decision making moments and then have to guess what was previously said. In Human Revolution I remember there being subtitles so even if you skipped through the chat you could still speed read on screen and have an idea what was going on.

Decided to revisit my pile of shame and tonight I will be playing Alien Isolation with ps4 headphones, in dark, on my own. I only encountered the Alien once before and it shit me up and I stopped playing haha
