Pizza

Visited pals folks house a few weeks back, it was quite grande, it also had a proper massive pizza oven in the garden, which they said I was welcome to have. Only problem is picking it up from Dorset.

Might have cracked cooking pizza in the shitty cheap oven in the woods I've built with pals, will be testing again this weekend...

DPD delivery slated for today, had to push it to tomorrow instead as missus is off to edinburgh fringe so wont be in to sign for it.

not yet. we don't have an outside space for it at our flat (was bought more for future use when we get somewhere bigger as I'd never justify the cost to myself without the pre-order discount).

I've got a gas bottle for it though and plan to give it a few tries before summer is up.

it's only portable insofar as you could stick it in the car and drive to a picnic spot or something but it's way too heavy to cart about otherwise. pretty bulky with the burners and stuff too.

if the forum pizza heads were willing to help with logistics i'd not be adverse to having a pizza picnic somewhere in the next few weeks though.

Could you fit it on a bike rack/trailer/cargo bike?

it'd go on a trailer/cargo bike but it's 20kg for the oven itself plus fuel plus utensils etc.

and i live down in morden so long way to cart it about on a bike.

Has any one cook pizza one of those fancy ovens the clean themselves that go up to 500 degrees?

It would be tricky. My one didn't go that high unless you removed all the internal racks and then set the cleaning programme that locks the door for 2 hours.

similar to Norths, also a pizza venue which might be plenty-empty after dark on AW nights on Well Street, near Easts, as well as the pizza venue up the road from the Chesham, that flies the Thundercats pizza tee, forget the name at the mo', but @roboto could surely help with the flow?
