They've since been back and got all the way through the lock. Did not confront this time. my neighbour did. I've stuck a load of wheelie bins and scaffolding in front. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Well done for preventing the theft.

If you're in Hackney, I can give you the contact for the Council officer who deals with these.

If it's a breadbin, it's the first time I've heard of an attempted break-in into one of them.
