When using wider rotor, it actually have slightly less levers throw as the calipers is set for the original rotors.
If people want to make their brakes feel slightly sharper, take out the wheel, carefully pump the levers to push the piston out slightly, reinsert the wheels, squeeze a couple time, and boom, sharper bite (abet more likely to hear a slightly out of true rotor).
given that disc brakes self adjust when new pads are put in, they should not need adjusting when using wider rotors (if that is what you meant)
