  • picture of the whole bike?

  • Thanks @umop3pisdn :-)
Looks decidedly less aero with bottle in situ as is always the case.
Pretty happy with how it turned out, but made a mess of the kitchen. Carbon dust hangs in the air, so has thinly covered everything inside each kitchen cupboard, despite the doors being closed. Mystery illness/10
Armrests up by 3.0mm (2mm BTA + 1mm Tester STS cover - not pictured) so need to commit further DIY in order to get them back down.
@Eingang maybe later, if I remember.

  • Armrests up by 3.0mm... need to commit further DIY in order to get them back down.

Surely you can just bend the stem down a bit more

  • I've tried but the stem's increments are quite coarse, and at that sort of angle one bump equates to around 10mm of height difference.
Stem can be a bit creaky, though, so I'm in the market for something different anyway, now I'm reasonably happy with the position.
Waiting for a reply from a seller on here about something that will give what I'm looking for, after making a few geometry sketches.
After that, should just be a case of swapping out risers, and maybe making some DIY carbon spacers, to get everything back to preferred height.

  • Yeah a mate of mine is currently looking to spec one also, bout £1500 with custom paint 😵

  • I hope you're permanently wearing a respirator while at home - that stuffs lethal!
Mystery illness probably not so mystery!

  • Ha, was referring to potential ingestion via crockery contamination...
I'm gambling on being ok after wearing it for most of the day, and having all the windows open...
If I'm not here in a year then you'll know why ;-)

  • Much prefer new profile pic

  • I hope this is the right thread. Does someone know what rake Colnago was using for their track forks in the late 80's? If it matters, I'm specifically interested on the fork on their Colnago Esamexico Pista model. Thanks!

  • guyz, does anybody have a 18t 3/32" sprocket spare? would be splendid!

  • Got this beater frame for a fiver
Takes 26" wheels but I just threw some road wheels in to see it resemble a bike. I doubt I could find 29er wheels for as cheap as I can 26 but that would be rad. Don't know how I'd get the cantis to reach though

  • Nice score!
Mavic offered a conversion kit at some point, it was discussed here: http://www.bikeforums.net/commuting/480009-convert-your-old-mtb-700c-wheels.html
I'm fairly sure it'll cost you more than 10 times the price of the frame tho. I'd either stick with 26 Inch, try to fit a coaster brake or come up with some diy franken conversion...

  • 26" with fat tanwalls!

  • Need to find some very cheap wheels then!

  • It's all gone a bit #HHSB

  • Cheers @T-V for hooking me up with the frame, rides like a dream.

  • MDCC Medium Gear Champs?

  • MDCC Medium Gear Champs?

    Next week

  • That looks rad! Always wanted to run it with SRAM red. Now just change the bottle holder and saddle and you are finished ;)

  • Just the bottle holder. The frame & saddle work well together IMO

  • Nice pedals!

Indeed. Swapped them over so that I could use race shoes for a few TTs, the bike has had PD-A525 for nearly 25 years which are better in that I can use them with my MTB shoes, but the 7410s definitely look better than white pedals with purple cleat hooks

If I were a complete tart I suppose I'd be scouring the world for some NOS silver 525s

  • Are 7410 cleats still easy to find? I have a pair but always kept them on my Moser for "display purposes".

  • Are 7410 cleats still easy to find?

No. They were until about 5 years ago, but the pedals were last made more than 20 years ago so you can see why nobody stocks them any more. The same Greek site which has the NOS 525s has SM-SH70 cleats.
