Changed out the wheels for some nice new carbon ones and it's unbearable. Same QR as before - first thing I changed back. Most of the noise appears to come from the disk rotors flexing into the callipers when going uphill.. weird. But i've got a nice creak/click coming from the rear now. At first i thought it was spoke noise but its definitely not.
Whats a logical checklist here?
Remove the rotors and smash it up a hill? See if it's stopped?
I now have hope rotors, perhaps they are wider than the Shimano ones that never used to rub? They're centre lock vs current 6 bolt so can't swap.
i had the same issue with the rotors flexing into the calipers on uphills. so fucking annoying. this was instantly solved with a better non weight-weenie QR. I assume if it isnt your QR then the brakes will need to be rebled to accomodate the slightly wider calipers?
@Dammit I've creaked!
