Not sure I'm 0n board with the 'they're for people who...' thing, you could say that about anything and it would be a massive generalisation

I know, right? It started off with a junior at £20, then one day he was off and one of the top boys stood in and made me look 24 again for £31. It's slowly gone up since and I'm not brave enough to go elsewhere.
Its only about 10 times a year.
Is what I keep having to tell myself. :(

I've never had a good cheap haircut. Decent, sure, but not good.

Haircuts. Vaguely remember when they were a thing for me.

Volvo heads - some help please?
What should I look for in an early noughties V70? What's around for a budget of £800 (max.) Areas of rust, mechanical issues etc?
Are there alternatives? (it's for a friend and she needs an estate but I'm thinking an Octavia would be better value.)
Thankyoupleaseinadvance.

Mondeo estate is a reasonable low cost option. I had a mkiii 140 TDCi and it was surprisingly good.
Until I drove it through a flood and that was the end of it.

Could be Carbon Black? Carbon Black was a regular colour on e46 M3's. Looks black in low light and then a Deep Blue in sunlight. Great colour.
With regards to Oak Green, was that a Porsche colour? I thought it was more commonly associated with MK2 Golf Gti's?

Octavias are awesome. I've got a mk1 vrs estate, still going strong.

That's it. Carbon black.
Yep, oak green was defo a std Porsche colour option in the 80s and 90s.

It's easy - Progressive do insurance on foreign DLs. You'll have to buy a year but you can pay by installments and when you cancel it, you'll get exactly the pro-rated refund minus a small charge. It's absurdly cheap compared to the UK.
I highly advise not buying anything too old that you can't fix yourself. There is no equivalent of the MOT in CA. Combine that with the sunny Californian, why fix today what might never break attitude and there are an unbelievable number of dodgy motors around. Getting anything esoteric worked on costs a packet and won't happen at all n the middle of nowhere.
Otherwise, just join AAA and have fun!

Interested in a 03 MK3 mondeo estate?
I've been using one that I bought for a trip to France as the c5 estate I bought got driven into a seriously bent, so hunted out the best mechanically. The journey will done next week. Good tyres, two or three month MOT, has a few dents and scrapes. Has had a new water pump as it was fucked and the replacement pump has had the proper gaskets. Full service and all the electrics work and even the air con.

Any talk of handling is out the window on a non M/RS/AMG car, just get in, use your feet and hands to get it round the corner. I guarantee any 1990s onwards Mercedes, Audi, or BMW will corner faster than 95% of people who claim there's not enough feedback have the balls to try.

japanese kei cars are hilarious and seen some pretty tacky mods so far. Sticking to trains for now but renting an R34 GTR later in the trip for some mountain road action.

Sweet, I might give them a call tomorrow.
I'm gonna try and pick up a beetle if I can, definitely able to work on those and they seem to be common as hell out there.

Makes me angry the the arsehole of an owner didn't get points for parking there.
Sure it wasn't a fox?
