  • I had the brass (brace brace) ones and they were awful

  • Yeah they're different hole sizes, t100 have smaller holes, 500s won't work for the PL50S :)

And I've had 3 sets of the PL50S and they've all been great. Lost one set, broke the 2nd after a couple of years of them living in my pocket and going through the wash and the 3rd are still going strong.

  • The new Xaiomi Hybrids are great! and can be had for ~£10

  • So very this...
I've had E10s last three months or two years.

Currently buzzing off the isolation improvements you get with E10s when you add comply t-400 tips

  • Thanks everyone. Went for the MEE Audio M6 Pros in the end, they come with Comply tips. Should be delivered this evening, will report back.

  • Any suggestions for in-ear headphones with a short lead? Up to about £50 or so I guess.

  • So after receiving the wrong order twice from Amazon I got the MEE Audio MR Pros on Saturday. Thanks for the recommendation @Kirth, very very pleased with them. Great definition and I'm a 100% convert to Complys now! I haven't had a chance to use them much yet but so far they're really comfortable, isolation is great and while I'm not really qualified to assess sound stage, I'd say it feels rounded, warm and full. My only negative would be that they feel a little plasticky. But you get what you pay for, and at this price point I'm happier with sound quality than material quality. Overall, very happy!

  • Ta to whoever mentioned the EB33's. Bargainous, and I rather like them.

  • Glad to help. I really like mine as well, use them most days.

  • Any recommendations for gym headphones? I'm leaning towards wireless as I pull them out of my ears all the time otherwise. Budget flexible, if they're actually good...

  • Run the cables up your back and under your vest. Easy.

  • I need a headphones recommendation. I go through in-ear headphones like hot dinners - they come in for a fair bit of abuse - cycling, gym, etc etc and I pretty much always kill one channel within a month of starting to use them. I have until this point treated them like a disposable item (I've got several pairs of expensive over ear ones for work and home) - but I'm getting fed up with constantly buying them.

    Brief:
In-ear, robust, needs the microphone/play button, preferably available same day delivery from Amazon. Wouldn't mind them being waterproof.

  • I go through earphones at a rate of knots too. I've killed many, some have fallen apart, others died due to sweat on the turbo trainer. Sennheiser CX300's have survived so far so they get my vote, they stay in my ears well too. The only downside is the cable is quite a grippy rubber so it's a bloody tangle machine.

  • Also I've tried cheap bluetooth ones for turbo trainer use because the cable annoys me but I've gone through about 4 sets now. Sweat gets in them and they die. Also having the battery and that makes them weight quite a bit so they don't fit nearly as well as simple in ear ones. I'm yet to find the perfect ones.

  • Have tou tried Bone Conduction Heapphones? I have some Tredz Titanium, and while the quality isn't immence, it's actually surprisingly good for something that doesn't go in or over your hear.
They quite good for riding in general. It actually felt a bit safer while riding as I still kept envirnemental awareness... Although I don't ride with them anymore...

  • I've killed a few pairs of them. Even tried to send some back to sennheiser after killing them. Didn't go well.

  • I don't wear them while cycling on the roads, only on the turbo. So I don't actually want to hear what's going on around me. Also they are expensive for something that will inevitably get sweat in then fry.

  • Tbh - the longest serving pair of 'phones I've had recently were the crappy Apple ones. Not a fan of them, generally, but they lasted 2-3 months instead of the usual 1.

  • I've got some Sennheiser adidas gym heaphones that do the trick, been going strong.

I alternate between them and over ear numbers

Also used some of these Betron ones which I generally use for commuting listening because they have pretty good sound/price

  • I have a bog standard Sennheiser pair -MM50i I think.
I've managed to exchange them as faulty when they broke, the packaging clearly says 'guaranteed for two years' - which is standard on EU bought electronic items.
Bought them from an Apple store so had the receipt on an email, got them exchanged straight away.
On my third pair now, it wasn't a hassle at all. I could probably argue 'reasonable wear and tear' but didn't need to.

  • I've tried gym-style ones before but I can't seem to wear anything which goes behind the ear. Always end up rubbing/causing irritation.

  • Yup I can imagine they can do that.

You tried the beats ones or some of those Shure in-ear ones? The Betron are good for the price

  • I blew one of the drivers in my Bose QC25's - I don't know how as I only use them with a phone.
I sent them an email, not expecting anything as they are second hand and out of warranty, however they said they will replace them no questions.
Their products might not be great quality but their customer services is decent.

  • After 5 years and a lot of use it's nearing the time to replace my on-ear Bluetooth headphones. Current ones are Sennheiser PXC 310BT and looking for a similar form factor

What are the current suggestions for bluetooth headphones. Looking for fairly small, APT-X, USB rechargeable (preferably micro USB), noise cancelling, usable wired when the battery runs out. Don't care about a microphone.

Any suggestions up to around £200? Cheers.

  • interested in an answer to the above. those look reet good
