bought new, used in dry and after 15months it needed new bottom bracket, cables and blocks? I've got a pre-war Raleigh with original cables and bottom bracket, still absolutely fine. Might want to go elsewhere for servicing.
£800 is madness, how is this is not a State bicycle co build with the paint removed?

There was a rubbing noise that a bike shop incorrectly identified as BB problem, so it was replaced. Turned out to be tension in the belt (a drawback I've found is that not many shops are used to working with belts, neither was I at the time).
Your raleigh sounds fantastic though, really glad you're getting such great life out of your components. I have a pre dinosaur Holdsworth with original chain lube.

I have one of these in graphite. Its a far cry from a State Bicycle Co build.

Couldn't agree more. This bike rides fantastically, different league to a state. Photos as mentioned earlier.

Hi there- is this bike still available?
For sale (with huge regret!) is my Schindelhauer. I've no need for the bike with a recent purchase so is time to pass it on. I purchased this 18 months ago from the bicycle man. German built and great looking bikes (in my opinion). Size is large, I'm 6ft and would say that it would not be suited to anyone taller than that.
I've used it at weekends (only in the dry) and occasionally commuted. Had it serviced around 3 months ago and replaced bottom bracket, brake pads and cables. Under 9kg, flip flop hub.
The bike is belt drive, which I have really enjoyed and zero maintenance. It's v smooth and silent when running. Comes with brooks saddle, had to re buy as got stolen on day 3... You can find all the details here http://www.schindelhauerbikes.com/en/bikes/Siegfried.html
Happy to accommodate test rides/any questions. I'm based either Hackney Wick (evenings/weekend) or Angel (work hours).
I'll post more pictures this evening
Cheers, Elliott
