sorry for off topic but I used an old shimano skewer on my caaddisc yesterday - completely silent discs, no singing at all. bike is now completely silent too :-) so thanks @edscoble @Dammit @Pete4Eyes @Howard

Shimano quick release will be more than fine, they were solid on the touring bike.
