So most 1x setups would just shift of one side and have nothing on the other.
No cheaper systems exists where both levers control just the rear derailer?

What's wrong with operating the rear derailleur with the same shifter?
Nothing really, I just liked the idea of having up and down on different ones. And wondered if there was anything out there that did it.
