• Lovely piece of Dutch bike history for sale. A Batavus professional AMEV team bike. This bike is a legit team bike that was used by the National dutch team (KNWU)that was was sponsored by AMEV back in the 90's. It is even possible that this bike has competed in the Atlanta World championships in 1986, but I can't guarantee this. I've bought the bike from former pro Astrid van Tol.

The frame itself is made out of sturdy columbus SLX tubes and has a race number holder and a cinelli 'spoiler' bottom bracket. The groupset is a Sachs new success. The front hub has been replaced with a campagnolo chorus one, rims are the well known Mavic MA40' ones. The bike is in a good condition. It is used so it has some marks here and there. Chrome is good and the frame itself it has no structural damages like cracks or dents. The components have some marks and also the shifters and the brake lever rubbers aren't perfect anymore. Anyway, if you want an authentic piece of Dutch cycling history, this is it.
